Happy hump day 🍑 I’m having to train upper body today bc my legs are just not cooperating with life after yesterday’s leg session😥🆘 . I took 2 weeks completely off training (I was on holiday) and I have NOT lost all my muscle like I used to think I would 🤷🏻‍♀️ I used to freak out about rest days now I love them!! Tomorrow is my rest day & I’ll be having some deep tissue work done which I’ve really been neglecting and my body is suffering bc of this! 😥 I feel tight ALL the time despite 2 weeks of rest!! “Instagram vs reality” I’ve seen a lot of these posts recently, a lot of people bashing that Instagram is just people’s highlights... like it’s a bad thing? Instagram for some is just somewhere to post photos, maybe funny memes, pics of their children, photos with friends etc... whereas to others it’s a marketing tool / a business. So photos are carefully selected and captions are thought of in advance, why is that criticised? I’m not sure why these bashing cults start🤦🏽‍♀️ if you post crap on Instagram people would say “that person posts shit, that person is miserable”. You post photos you look good in, or photos of your holiday or new shoes you just bought & people criticise... Someone might look at my Instagram and interpret it completely different to someone else. You can’t control every single persons opinion....You just try to be as transparent as possible whilst still posting what you deem necessary for the audience your trying to capture! Happy Sunday everyone 🙃 I’m popping up on your feeds to talk about being proud of yourselves & recognising your achievements....🙌🏼 Yesterday (when I took this photo) I genuinely loved what I saw back! I’m so proud of the work I’ve put in to looking like this, not just my “photoshoot prep” but the years of work on my body and mind🧠 . This shape you see here, still required a lot of sacrifice, this didn’t come easily, and I’m bloody proud of myself! I no longer look in the mirror and say I want to lose this bit of fat or have better XYZ. I still strive to progress but I’m happy with what I have! (Something which is hard to do in my opinion regarding fitness goals- especially if you compete / competed). I genuinely no longer care if I’ve been leaner/ lighter/ stronger/ more muscular blah blah blah. I respect how I look now & I feel accomplished 💪🏼 . We should all be proud of our achievements, regardless of what they are. Because the majority of us will always want more in regards to progress... so I’m here to stop you all and say BE PROUD OF EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ACHIEVED! Lunging into the week like 💁🏻‍♀️ . Starting my Monday with Client check ins & a meeting in central Manchester today! I know the rule is never skip a Monday workout but I’ve been training every day since Wednesday & man I am TIRED😴 (see my last post for yesterday’s Glute workout) . I’ll be staying active today with some cardio, with my final shoot / holiday being 1 week away I’m pushing myself but not over working myself or burning myself into the ground because that doesn’t create more progress.. it can actually hinder your progress! 🙅🏽‍♀️ .
